I can see him being caretaker manager by the time they play us.

Yep, I can as well and if he does take over then his style of play will really not suit Lorent at all given that Derek likes to play very defensive football.

Lorent did alright under Moore

Yeah, but IMO Derek is far more defensive than Moore I mean when Morecambe lost 1-0 to us at home last season they played for a draw throughout the game and were very negative throughout and we couldn't break them down until Ronan's 89th minute winner. It was also a very frustrating game to watch as well as they were time-wasting throughout yet the referee didn't do anything about it.

Another big defeat for slot at home. Potential next premier league manager to be sacked ?

They can beat real Madrid one minute and then concede 7 in two home games. Mental

They looked shocking tonight. Players look like they've given up

Lets hope the players don't have a meeting

As an exile supporter with strong family ties with Plymouth Argyle but with a true fondness of Vale ,living in Hanoi, Vietnam does limit the games I can attend.

Vale are a good club with a very smart stadium although run down in parts.DM has his limitations but with the contract given to him ,stay with.

Alot of sides yo yo between divisions until they feel comfortable,Vale are no different and I truly would love Vale to be pushing for the playoffs in L1, stability and faith in the manager is needed, the money option along with costs are crucial to any decision.

After Salah comments today , you would think something would have to give now before fans turn

Another massive defeat for Bristol Rovers and Darrell. 4-0 away to Barnet

Apparently the board have been quite tight with money for him to spend but going off his post match interviews,  he doesn't rate some of the squad and rightfully so.

If I'm not mistaken that's 10 league games without a win ( 9 defeats and 1 draw)

Hope he can turn it around but I can't see any manager lasting that

Well there’s probably one other club a little too close to home I can think of that would tolerate it.

But yeah I thought in the summer it was the perfect move for them and DC but it’s clearly not worked. Their fans are sick and tired of playing three at the back (familiar) and his interviews are basically at the point he’s just throwing the players under the bus every week similar to what he did at the end at Vale. Those sort of interviews play well the first couple of times but quickly lose their effect. To me he should probably take a year out of management and do some media work for a bit which he’d be great at.

Barrow have sacked Andy Whing and said sacking him now gives them the best possible chance to climb the table

I do think that the Barnet manager has been doing a good job there

I think I remember Andy Whing playing for Cov having a bit of a to-do with a Vale player in a pre season friendly about 20 years ago.

I think the ref ordered him to be subbed.
