Rob Fielding says that recent games have shown that the club did do their homework when recruiting loanees Ryan Edmondson and Kian Harratt. No more moans about the loans I think we all know that moving for youngsters on loan is always a risky move. Some can pay off, others can be the next Toby […]

Benning looked very sharp last night, a breath of fresh air!

Maybe he performs well in front of Mansfield fans 😊

Last night was an excellent team performance, with Proctor pivotal. Wilson and Garrity reaping the rewards of his presence.

Both strikers are way above league two level. Wilson should be playing in the Championship.

I'm a huge fan of Wilson, he's got so many good attributes. Even when it doesn't quite work for him on occasions, he's still making intelligent runs and passes.

I also think Scott Brown would have been proud of Aidan Stone. I timed one goalkick in stoppage time as taking him 50 seconds as he took his time to recover the ball, lined it up then decided to swap sides, thought about a short kick then took a few seconds to send everyone up instead. "Game management" of the highest order...

The front two are looking mustard at the moment and will be key to us getting anywhere for the rest of the season. At times int he second half we started to look lost in midfield but the ball still stuck up front and they gave us the outlet that we have been missing over Christmas.

I've not been a big fan of Benning so far ... but Hussey has looked lame for a few weeks and this is Mals chance to stake a claim IMO. He has all of the attributes, but I'd like to see him stretch his legs and run at his full back, especially when he comes on fresh in the 70/80th minute against a tiring opposition.
