Admin 'a likely prospect' 2012 thread!!

A friend of mine attended a Probus meeting at Vale on Thursday. There was a bloke present called Bill, who said he was a board member at Vale (this might have been current or past, my mate wasn't sure when I questioned it). I would think it was Mr Bratt. Does anyone know if he has any association with Probus?

Bill was asked by a couple of other Probus people about admin at the Vale. Bill said that administration was 'a very likely prospect.'

He also said that 'a point deduction would put us into a relegation battle, maybe even into the bottom two.' I questioned my mate on this, and said we would only get 10 points deducted. He said Bill had told him due to us going into admin previously, we would suffer a larger decuction, but didn't put a number on it.

I will point out my mate has no reason to lie. He comes from outside the area and has generally very little interest in football. So to me, everything he has told me is to be classed as straight from Bill's mouth.

Is this the first time we have anyone associated with the board has actually admitted admin is a likely prospect? I wonder what the current board members think of Bill talking to people about admin? Might not be too impressed me thinks.

The sooner we go into admin the better. It is the only way in which Mo would be able to take the club on.

Investing in it once an interim board takes over is an unlikely option due to the debt, silly contracts hampering the potential for income elior/azure etc

Theresno debate to be had in my eyes. The first job of the interim board is to open the books up, the second is to call in administrators.

Hi,

As I understand it, the previous admin was before the rule changes and the arguably rules should not be applied retrospectively. This would therefore be the 1st admin since the implementation of the new rules.

Regards

Who would prefer admin and a ten point deduction to carrying on like this with these characters slowly strangling our club?

Admin would be the lesser of two evils as I see it. Success for this year id still being in Division 4 and having a clear view of what our finances are like even if that means admin.

Not going into admin is only putting off the inevitable. We are never going to be able to trade our way out of the mess the current plonkers have gotten us into.

Even if Glenn found the winning Euromillions ticket in a dustbin while he was looking for a new pair of shoes, I wouldn't trust the proceeds not to end up in someone's skyrocket.

*******s, the lot of them, self serving cretins who have very nearly destroyed our club.

I'd still take anything Bratt says with a lorryload of salt (no wonder there's none left for the gritters) however the only thing keeping the club solvent at the moment is not how much money they make but the seemingly limitless extension of their debt facility.

As long as they can keep finding people gullible enough to lend them money and can keep putting other creditors off then Administration will not be forced on them.

At some point it all has to come crashing down but who's going to have the bottle to serve a winding up order on them, and when?
