This is real life. He is entitled to try to find the best opportunity for himself - as everyone else does in their working life. It is not unusual to have a job offer with prospects of a better offer you want to pursue. The clock ticks on all sides. If he comes to Port Vale he will do his best and that is why Port Vale can leave the offer on the table for now.

some of the posts on here are as if they were written by spoilt children. We're a League Two side with an unproven manager and a brand new squad, hardly the most attractive prospect; some fans would do well to remember it.

Agreed we are, but we were the ones who gave him his chance to kick start his career, fair enough if he can move on, but if no one comes in for him, he cannot expect us to wait and keep the original offer on the table, we kick off on Saturday at creepies, where's the team building and pre season for him. Lets move on...

We signed Eagles cos it was thought to be in the best interests of PVFC..we should not sign players for any other reason. He owes us nothing.
