I find it odd how many people in this country have issues with being ruled by Brussels, but dont seem to have a problem with having unelected religious leaders in the house of lords. I think we're the only other country that does that beside Iran.

I'm not sure whether your comment was suggesting it was a good or bad thing, but religious leaders should have no more say than you or I, and that's their individual vote at the ballot box.

There are issues with the House of Lords, the honours system, hereditary peerage, the establishment of the Church of England, the devolvement of government alongside the absence of an English Parliament, the history of the UK nations and how laws and constitutional arrangements have evolved through common law etc.

To change this needs time and willpower and election mandate and leadership and some decisive consensus about what the outcome should be. Really hard and especially now. We have the anarchy party in power in Scotland, the useless Labour, Liberals and UKIP in opposition, Northern Ireland and the Conservatives who are pursuing devolvement to the very bottom no matter the adverse impact on economy and efficiency at every turn and also wedded to American Mayors.

So .....

Elsewhere you are very concerned about women (mostly politicians) being called names, but what about them having their futires and decisions about their own bodies being made by othere, mostly men ?

Women are women and men are men. The woman has the choice to get pregnant or not. The woman has the responsibility to not get pregnant carelessly or when not wanting a child. A man can never have the gift of birth, so their role is always facilitator, supporter, child carer etc.

Once a child is conceived it is like a baby being pushed in a pram. It is a separate human being. It is dependent on the mother first hand, because she can both feed the person and keep the person safe.

The psychology of the situation is that the unborn child can be treated as an "it" and that allows rationalisations about rights and my body etc. which do not arise after the baby is born and named. Then bringing the life of that baby to an end is murder, so in my view it is when that unborn child is 0-22 weeks in development in the womb.
