FAO Starve 'em out

I'm not convinced and want to see some more detail.

I think we've come along way in achieving change over the last 12 months and things are certainly looking brighter.

I would like to hear what this Hank guy has to say...that could sway me one way or the other.

In all honesty I think those of us (including me) now have a decision to make

1 - do we return

2 - do we stay away for what in my opinion will be now be a substantial period of time - following this investment.

I'm quite prepared to do the second but I also desperately want to hear something that will convince me that this deal is right.

I think that's a fair assessment.

However, people need to remain objective when sizing up the deal. We are a L2 club in dire straits, we can't expect a miracle. Will those people who thought Mo would have been our saviour apply the same blind faith to this deal?

I wasn’t convinced about Mo. I'm not convinced about this, but any investment has to be a good thing. As you say people have to accept that part of the previous regime is likely to remain or accept that they won’t be watching the Vale for a long time.

If this deal is found to be totally fabricated and if Bratt/ Oliver stay after the AGM, then there will be consequences greater than SEO and B&G have achieved so far…

I thought you were a part of B&G, and B&G openly supported Mo's bid. You also joined the march as the end of last season.

I supported black and gold but I thought their stance on totally backing Mo may have been a wrong move.

If somebody else had come in after Mo, let's say John Cauldwell, what would Black and godl have done then? Changed their allegiance from Mo to Cauldwell???

Have a good one. Hopefully this investment will be proved to be everything it says and maybe a bit more and pratt and tramp will be true to their word for once and be gone by christmas at which point i won't be able to get through them turnstiles quick enough.

Its killing me not going but thats my stance just as going matches is yours matey.===

Yea, i never made this thread to force everyone to attend, was more to see if the atmosphere would be decent and to see people's opinions. I went last night after not attending all season and i really got the love back. A Tom Pope 93rd minute winner really was fairytale and I'm practically counting down the seconds now!! UTV

May have been a wrong move. If you didn't support Mo, then surely you would think it WAS a wrong move.

I'm sure if another investor had come in, they would have analysed the proposals. That's hypothetical in any event and doesn't explain your sudden apparent change in attitude.

Its all down to personal choice

At some point in a war there is a winner, a truce is called, people have lost and gained.

Never has a war ended with some one getting exactly what they want without some form of compromise in my opinion.

I suspect many would return now if Oliver and Bratt left immediately

Haven't changed my attitude.

I never backed the Mo bid from day one to the extent I was accused on here as being racsist but can see why people did fully support him.

I didn't apply blind faith to the Mo deal, and I wont to this one. Mo held an open forum and disclosed his proposals, I considered the same and decided I would support it. With this deal, the proposals have not been fully outlined, neither have the investors spoke to the fans of a fan run club, to explain their involvement.

In essence, Mo's deal was £1.2m of new money directly into the club. It was confirmed in the paper this morning that Bluesky were putting £400k of new money directly into the club. On the face of it, in my opinion, the £8m is a red herring dependant on grants and the "development" of land we don't even own (what is the point in that?). For me, this is nothing but a way to paper over the cracks and keep the clubs head just above water. Piecemeal investment does not help in the long term, it simply secures the clubs short term future and facilitates (there's that word again) the current incumbants positions.
