Just when France was celebrating liberty and freedom a callous cowardly scumbag murderer strikes

Unbelievable that anyone could do such a thing. Delivering ice-cream at that time of night, easy to criticise after the event, but surely a quick check may have exposed the truth. But that is for the future to decide. Terrible times we are living in, no doubt terrorists will claim it, but lives have been lost and will never be forgotten. But life has to go on. RIP

This is a beautiful sea front like many others in France. As with the Twin Towers I have been there any can appreciate the horror of what happened. But there was a failure in risk management here. The idea of vehicular murder has been propagated by ISIS and happened at other locations in France. So the inherent risk is known and should have been mitigated by a blockade using equipment often put in place in roadworks or to prevent attacks to buildings. These heavy concrete and steel devices would have prevented this.

True, but it was the timing of the supposed delivery during a massive public event.

I do not envy my neighbours going there this morning, but all I could say in front of the children was enjoy your holiday. By a large coincidence they usually go to Turkey but the events of the previous months put them off. But as before life goes on.
