Be disappointing to say the least if he does not sign for another year after his rehabilitation, add the option of leaving once a particular high offer has been received by the Club. My guess is he will jump ship like the others.

And it would serve us right for allowing contracts to always run down. If clubs have players that have potential, they sign them on longer contracts way before they run out. We just let them run out and hope for the best. It's short sighted management from managers thinking a year in advance at most.

Would be great if he stayed and showed some loyalty to the club - especially after his long rehab - but that means nothing to the players agents who only want the money and will flog their players to any and everyone listening.

 

If he is not interested in staying then he is better leaving the club.
