As 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of OVF (yes, really), I'd like to invite you all to share your comments, thoughts and memories of this site...

I've noticed the site seems a lot less busy nowadays, also a lot of the posters over the last 5 years that I have been a member, seem to have disappeared. In some ways it can be expected as I joined at the height of the v2001 war.

Fast approaching my 8th year as a member of OVF. Joined before the brown stuff hit the fan re bratt, oliver, jackson, etc following a very depressing prognosis which proved to be inaccurate, thankfully.... the disquiet about how the club was being run saved me quite a chunk of change in a donation and share purchases... but thats another story.

The forums can be volatile at times with exchanges of differing opinions. Occasionally it can be spoiled by personal abuse, but thankfully not as often as some other social media offerings.

OVF offers news and features in a well balanced manner. The forums are not quite as well balanced but show a wide range of thoughts, opinions and emotion from an even wider rage of different fans of Port Vale all over the world.

I have witnessed the spiraling downwards of the club into administration and upward emotions expressed on promotion, with many levels of highs and lows in between... and then there are Barry's poems and stories that never fail to crack a smile.

So from humble beginnings of "One Vale Fan in Bristol"... there is at least another... one in Thailand... one in Australia... one in New Zealand... and in many other countries across the world.

Perhaps we should list the countries where Vale Fans communicate from?
