Has Norman had enough

I'm sort of intrigued by both this VLF mob and Vale's free-lance hooligans.

Back in the day a football mob were there, home and away (even for night matches).

At the Vale it was the Bycars Aggro boys etc and they were always there.

Nowadays, these lads/men seem only to appear once a twice a season at home and hardly ever away from home...but still maintain a Vale allegiance.

Where have they all gone? Have they all been arrested or cautioned? Grown out of it? I'm genuinely curious as to how it works.

I feel some people are so hurt about the happenings that they are attacking Norman and his statements. I’ve had time to think before I post and I think we should focus on facts. Regarding the beating we don’t know but we just have to take his word for it, however did he provoke? A fact is that Smurf is not good with his PR skills. His twitter and forum account has produced some things that you certainly wouldn’t see in the divisions above us, but I like the honesty. At the moment I think he’s so wound up with money put in and stress that he’s said things he may regret just to let out his anger which meant the situation hasn’t been done properly. Certainly isn’t going to entice new buyers and no way he’d get £4mil for it. As for the racism/troublemaking well there’s always going to be the odd group of fans who at every club who are like that. Nearly all of us aren’t. I doubt he’d build houses on the land too, he isn’t a bad person and he would be mad to do that with our fans. But now we need to stick by the club, if you don’t like Smurf fine, but as fans we should stick by the club, because we all agree that we don’t want to let our club go to poo.

It would not be cost effective for a builder to build houses on the land given the cost of filling in the mine shafts, also there is the 25 year covenant with the fa to keep it for football use.

A close relative of mine was one of the main lads, he's grown out of it, settled down, own house and getting wed next year.

Probably priced out or because work is now a 7 day operation they don't bother as much .

The more successful u r the more likely u r attractive more supporters to the ground but because we ain't and haven't had a big match for a long time folk won't bother .

They will turn out in force if someone big comes but how often is that ,not often cause everything there is a opportunity to progress Vale play like they don't want it .

Most fans have probably thought what's the point anyway ,what's the reward for beating someone up a fine which damages there family etc .
