We'll done Sam excellent debut, to keep a clean sheet in your first game and we haven't kept many this season is a great achievement, you've proved yourself to be more than a capable deputy to Chris Neal & were lucky to have two great keepers in the squad

After yesterday's performance, I would have no worries about him keeping goal for the next half dozen or so games.

We'll do well to hang on to him long term if first impressions are anything to go by.

 

BTW, the news about Chris Neal mentioned earlier was on RS before the Walsall match.

Played very well, some solid stops and takes under pressure. His height is a bonus, especially when I think it was Duffy nearly headed a back pass over him but he caught it well!

Keep working on your game Sam and you can only get better!

Injured his hand apparently in training yesterday according to one guy at the game, maybe just a rumour.

 

Johnson did fine today, was protected superbly well and commanded his area well when free kicks and corners came in, I can only remember one indifferent punch, other than that smashing!

 

Well done but lets not get carried away and call him the next Anyon or Martin who both had false dawns.

 

He has proven he is an able deputy today for Neal.

 

Chris Neal has a broken wrist and discolated fingers he could be out for a while.

Has this been confirmed yet by Vale? MA's was only saying afew games out. Or is it rumour mill again going full pelt. If so, then they forgot to say that his left arm fell off after training as well. Hope it is just rumour mill antics.

 

Sam had a cracking game and hope he carries on in that form.

From the 2 games Johnson has played, I have no worries at all about him being our keeper for the next month if that is what is needed.
