So Slash tickets sold out in two hours and today they announe that Morrissey is to play there July 5th. I hope this is a sign of things to come, good to see such established artists playing in the city!

Hope they do. I always go to Manchester for gigs but if the bigger acts can be attracted to Stoke it would be ace!

We have already sounded that one with someone who works there;),as we missed out on the Slash tickets before we realised a friend of the wife's works there.They will hopefully be letting us know as soon as they do:D

It'd be good to be able to just get a cab up to Hanley for a gig instead of driving for an hour and it'd also get people using the city centre on a weeknight. You go to the big cities and there's people about every night of the week

Viccy Hall was and probably is a great venue

 

Great acoustics, great layout, great stage size

 

Seen all the greats there...Praying Mantis, Starfighters, Fist..plus also rans such as AC/DC, Iron Maiden, UFO, Gillan, MSG, Dio, Saxon. And almost saw Ozzy there back in the day

 

Probably still my favourite venue

 

Hope they get great acts playing there again

I saw AC/DC there for the Back In Black Tour and MSG and they weren't also rans. Good to see Motorhead play the at VP as the Mother Town is Lemmy's home town.

My mates band are supporting Morrisey. MOrrisey was recently quoted saying they were his new favourite band. He was at a gig in Camden watching them the other week which we all ventured down for. Tickets will sell out quick so if you want to go make sure you get them soon!
