Carrots or Parsnips?

Parsnips, but I've only ever eaten them roasted. But everything tastes better roasted. Even carrots.

both relatively easy to grow and taste better than shop bought, but them pesky carrot flies ruin them for me so it has to be parsnips picked on a frosty morning then roasted but no butter just the sweet natural taste.

Which vegetable is superior?

 

The humble parsnip, particularly when roasted, wins for me.

 

Vegetableism at its worst :(

 

All vegetables are equal although given the choice I would choose some lightly boiled carrots with a good amount of pepper on them and melted butter

Which does your multui billion pound buisness sell most of and equally importantly which has the best nutritional value for a professional footballer and so would enable him to go that extra yard during a close match? Personally i think carrots should be in every pre-match meal to help us get to 8th

Parsnips for me, there's absolutely no taste in carrots these days.

Although i've come to the conclusion that onions are the nicest of all vegetables by a country mile!

Carrots are lovely cooked this way

 

Fry them 1 minute in butter

Then apply a chicken oxo cube

Then put just enough boiling water in the pan until they are tender

Onions are mean and nasty and make people cry..they are far from nice

Cewcumber and onions soaked in vinegar is delicious, a North Staffs delicacy.

Aye..my Dad used to make up a big bowl every Xmas and sometimes he'd treat us during the rest of the year too.Afterwards the vinegar would be bottled and used on chips..delicious

 

What about grilled onions and milk with b&b? Never seen that outside of SoT..delicious

Never had grilled onions and milk.

 

Cucumber and onions were a Sunday tea must in our house....especially with tinned salmon butties (salmon also soaked in vinegar). I keep prompting my misses to make it but she says it has too much salt in it.

Never had grilled onions and milk. The wife does a grilled onion white sauce which she puts over sausages and mashed spuds.
