Which vegetable is superior?

 

The humble parsnip, particularly when roasted, wins for me.

 

What's the matter, Memphis? Your threads about carrots/parsnips and pies suggest you are hungry for ideas. Are you fed up with all the tripe threads lately or just giving us food for thought? Perhaps you are in a stew at home or simply bean for a workout and starving now? Suggest you vegetate in your chair for a while and in the words of our Scottish pals "dinner" post on here. Cue for many other awful pun replies. again.:laugh: ;)

In the carrot & parsnip debate I like them both.

You can't beat parsnip mashed into potato.

 

So just to be different and at the risk of being thrown off OVF for ever, I'm going to mention celeriac.

 

Looks like a brain from a horror film it tastes a bit like celery.

Try that mashed into spuds.
