Vale 2 Bradford 1 - Post Match Comments

It gets me how so many reporters make Burlsem out to be some sort of slum! Is it just my rose tinted spectacles talking as I find Burslem itself to be quite a nice market town centre (without the market) ??

Compared to places like Luton, Gillingham, West Brom and Walsall its more like Monaco

Having lived in many other places around England and having recently revisited one of them (Sunderland) after not being there for many years, Burslem is far from a slum..it is indeed a nice enough market town; just needs to up things on the retail side

Glad to see vale have put out a statement about the horrid chanting.

Vale statement regarding Bradford match

Port Vale is bitterly disappointed to receive a number of complaints of alleged racist chanting from home supporters in the Railway Paddock towards the visiting Bradford City supporters on Saturday.

As well as numerous complaints to the club, all from Port Vale fans, a complaint has also been raised directly by a home supporter with ‘Kick It Out’, football's equality and inclusion campaign. In turn, this has now been escalated to the Football Association.

Port Vale does not tolerate mindless behaviour of this kind and any supporter who is found to be partaking in abusive or discriminatory behaviour of a racist nature faces a life ban from Vale Park, as well as the possibility of criminal proceedings.

These allegations tarnish not only the good name of Port Vale Football Club, but also the thousands of Valiants supporters, including families and children, who attend home games with no issues.

Port Vale would strongly urge supporters who enjoy taking part in racially-motivated abuse not to attend games. You are not welcome at Vale Park.

If you have any information relating to Saturday’s alleged chants, please email [email protected]. Any information offered will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

I watched the "extended highlights" on Valiant Player, including the kicking incident where the Bradford player should have seen red. I've seen a picture of a Vale player in the opposition box with his shirt almost removed from his back.

Were Bradford REALLY bullied?
