Lee Hendrie recovered from bankruptcy and has his own company that helps footballers in similar situations. He is most definitely retired though.

 

Hendrie retired in May 2013 having played for Tamworth since October 2012.

I can't imagine that happening given that it states in the article he was amongst the highest paid player and he's aiming for a return to the championship.

Would be a cracking signing if it did come off though!

I think he may lack the experience if Neal is injured/banned if we are playing the likes of Sheffield or Wolves, or most others in fact. I know he will only gain experience if he plays - however a lot would depend on where we were in the league table if he were needed.

I don't see the lad in training, nor playing for the reserves so it's an opinion based on very little real knowledge (as most of mine are!)

It's not my decision of course, merely my opinion. Micky may well delve into the loan market but then you are relying on someone with enough experience being available at short notice.

In my opinion (and it's just that), I think we need another keeper to challenge Neal and maybe send Sam out on loan for a season.

I reckon Griffith will be signed in the next week or so and i'd be content with that unlike others. John Eustace would be a good signing along with Michael Hector at the back who has bags of potential and has that pace every fan likes to see at centre back. As long as Micky brings in another centre half and 2 central midfielders, i think i'll be happy.

Agreed, but this adds to my point, we all know Micky doesn't suffer fools lightly, nor basic errors - Davis, Morsy, McCombe and Burge would probably agree with me on that.

Therefore would Micky 'Risk' Sam ?......especially given if a 'keeper makes a mistake it almost certainly results in conceding a goal.

I had that in mind as I typed bud.......but do you really think Micky was going to drop Neal for that one mishap? Like I have said, it's merely my opinion and we've yet to see whom Micky is considering bringing in.

I may well be doing Sam a great disservice but as I say......it's Micky's decision not mine.
