The structure, set up, process, whatever you want to call it, means the club will continue on the current downward spiral, regardless of who the manager is. I look on here each night in hope, waiting for the owner to recognise and acknowledge that thousands of Port Vale supporters aren't wrong about the current issues and flaws in the structure at the club. I fear that this summer the recruitment of players will be worse than last summer and in twelve months we'll be bottom two of L2 and staring at the abyss. There seems to be no suggestion that Carol is going to change things any time soon and we're stuck with the current process, the current problems, and the decline will continue. Good news today about Baylee. He'll probably be sold to the first bidder in the summer for the usual "undisclosed" fee, and we'll sign some young loanee as a replacement from a Premier League giant like Bournemouth or Luton after a pretty impressive power point presentation from DF. The current slump in results following the worst January transfer window we've ever had will cost us our L1 status. If the same mistakes from the previous three windows are repeated in the next two windows, we will lose our Football League status. I can truly see this happening and I feel pretty powerless to do anything about it.

Great news, makes a change in the current circumstances. Our process includes "all academy players are for sale" to Premier League clubs. The process is wrong and the ideologies behind the process are idiotic. They must have been formulated by an idiot. Good luck Baylee. You're already the current best striker at Vale Park. DM is abysmal. He has no charisma, no leadership, no motivational ability and hasn't got any reaction at all from the players. He runs down the tunnel at full time and doesn't come out with his team to thank the fans for our support. Yes, this is now his team! He took the job. Its his job to get the best out of the players he has got. He's going to have two relegations on his CV in the one season. Having said that, he didn't appoint himself! From what I can see, he got Sheff Wed promoted because they had the best players in the league last season. They scraped through in the play offs. I'm not impressed at all. Another day goes by when Carol continues to bury her head in the sand.

Well said! Either sort this mess out by getting rid of DF, or get out of our club yourself! You (Carol) are sleepwalking into another relegation battle next season, one that these players and this manager won't win! We've had three abysmal transfer windows, we can't afford another one in the summer. If we do, we're doomed! Act now or sell to someone who will get a grip of things and stop the rot, bring stability and restore some pride and belief! It keeps getting worse and worse and worse!

This is our club. We'll be here long after Catol has finished doing her work in the community and having barbecues with the phenomenal players, their knowledgeable wives and the genius that is our esteemed Director of Football. If Carol continues to Bury her head in the sand, back the conman and dismiss the views and concerns of the heart and soul of Port Vale Football Club, (us fans) then we'll either have to turn our back on the club or take positive action to force the necessary changes to save our club from non-league oblivion. I'm fuming after watching that inept, gutless, pathetic performance today. Only Ripley was worthy of the shirt and the pay packet. It keeps getting worse and worse. The most gutless person today was our manager who was off down the tunnel almost before the injury time board was held up and probably got home before most of us did!

It's very difficult to see owners who clearly care but who are not listening to the thousands of Port Vale supporters who can see the issue at the club. We've repeated the mistakes from January 2023 in January 2024. If we repeat the mistakes this summer that we made in the summer of 2023, we'll be on the brink of non league football this time next year. The "structure" in our club and the "process" are not working at all. The recruitment of players is shambolic. The current squad we have will finish bottom of L2 next season. Drastic changes are needed immediately to give us a chance of a summer recruitment to enable us to be League 2-ready come August. Season ticket holders are the foundation, the bedrock, the heart and the soul of Port Vale Football Club. Listen to us and act on what we can all see now, to help stop the free fall that we're currently in and give us a chance next season! UTV!

Yeh, no, I listened to erm it erm too!

I posted at the start of January about the transfer window. I was fearful that it would be another disaster but hopeful that I'd be wrong. It's the worst January ever, worse than when NS was the owner with his sweetie jar and he sold Grant. Relegation will be confirmed by Easter Monday I reckon. I remember feeling gutted at the end of last season when Woz applauded the fans in the Railway near the end of the game. He knew he wasn't going to get a decent contract offer and we knew he'd be difficult to replace. It makes my blood boil to see the awful players today that were recruited ahead of him. So when DF is feeling sorry for himself and getting sympathy from the owners about how "badly" he's being treated at the moment, what goes around comes around. Now do the decent thing and resign. Pope, club legend and absolute quality. DF got rid. Woz, best and most consistent player we've had for years. Only Kevin De Bruyne bettered his stats. DF offered him one year and Barrow bettered our offer. I can't be bothered to go on. Wake up Carol, if you keep backing him, you'll lose the most important people of all, the loyal season ticket holders.

Ripley, Garrity and Ojo are the only players anywhere near L1 standard. Why has DM selected Grant and Massey today? Neither would get in a pub team tomorrow morning! Shrewsbury are the third worst team I've seen this season (behind Carlisle and us) and they won today without trying too hard at all. Our formation and tactics were baffling today. Against Shrewsbury, all we needed to do was play the ball into the space down the flanks, behind their full backs, and get in behind them. We did it a couple of times and they were so slow, we had 1 on 1 opportunities to score. Unfortunately, we wasted much of the game faffing around with it at the back and letting the Shrewsbury defenders relax in the sunshine, especially during the first half. Clearly DFs plan of getting DM in as soon as he became available (having been sacked by Huddersfield for 3 wins in 20-odd games) so he could bring Dwight Gayle with him (scuppered by Derby offering him more than we could) has fallen completely flat and not had the effect that everyone was hoping for. I really dislike the fact that DM is the first person off down the tunnel on the final whistle. I've not got much respect for that. I've not got any respect for the way that AC was treated. I've not got any respect for the majority of players who got AC the sack. I've got zero respect for the person responsible for recruitment, the person who got rid of Woz, Harrison, Benning, Conlon, and brought in Grant, Massey, Loft, Sang. Time to plan for next season in L2. If we don't change the person in charge of recruitment, we'll be in a relegation battle again this time next year. I have a lot of respect for Carol and Kevin for saving our great club from NS and certain oblivion. I implore the Shanahans to get rid of any charlatans within the current structure of the club, and do it quickly and decisively, so we can put the previous three abysmal transfer windows behind us and start building again for progress. Our fan base is not big enough for us to be wasting money on pipe dreams and nonsense ideas. We need a motivational manager who can bring the right kind of "characters" into our football team to create a team that we can all be proud of.

A good, loud chant of... You'll never beat The Vale! ...will upset them more than anything else!

Fans can see the issues in our club. It's gutting that Carol (no doubt trying to show leadership) put out her patronising Open Letter that has infuriated many supporters. Carol, please don't Bury your head in the sand. Wake up and see what supporters can see and do something about it! We need a united fan base for the future prospects of our club!

We do belong at this level with the attendances (up until Christmas) and the levels of investment in the club. Sadly, someone somewhere has wasted a lot of money on things that don't matter to the proper supporters of the club or, indeed, any League 1 club. For example, there was a player interview on Radio Sjoke tonight (possibly CR) and he was talking about how the club Scientists and Dieticians would now come into their own for the final run-in, as they will tell the players what to eat and how to rest! 🙉 The corporate facilities are very good, but the proper fans have to piss in a portaloo!
