I will agree with Darren that Stoke as a city has declined... But to say it is as bad as some poverty thrid world parts of Birmingham is a bit far fetched!!

Summer transfer rumours and speculation

Well if we were watching the play off final,i aren't sure that any players there stood out really apart from maybe Osborne for Solihull but at 31 i doubt we would have interest there and Cheek for Bromley but same again at 32 we wont be in there either. Maybe we had someone at the Boston/Brackley play off final in the hope of a Gem Still some play off games for us(vale) to go watch though as DM hinted at that during Thursdays Q and A. -
I'm only just a 'Stones throw' away from the golden beaches of Boscombe nr Bournemouth.... Only 3 hours away don't you know!! Just down the road!

I'm glad it worked out for someone!

Compared with when I last did live in the Potteries - 1958 to 1987 - it's a super clean place now. But I take that some aspects can still be a problem.

Summer transfer rumours and speculation

We had 2 years of relatively decent budgets which DOF wasted on recruiting bang average players , sacking managers and improving the players facilities for what to go back to league 2. The debt/budget has been misspent that’s all and now we’re hoping CS corrects this with her hard earned . Do I think Moore will do a better job ? Well it’s a low bar he has to pass -

Wouldn’t ask Leicester, who had a Premier League standard squad to sustain when promoted this time and if you’re talking about the era when they came back after going down to league 1, then they went on to win the Premier League. Money well spent I’d say. Sadly we still live in a debt society. Mortgages and credit card debt are higher than ever and I had expected rising interest rates to hit clubs with existing huge debt piles, to help level playing fields. So far, that hope has yet to show any benefit to Vale. -

Lets hope some of the recruitment team follow soon enough,as someone said it's not nice when people lose their jobs but they have done a bad one here and i am sure they will work elsewhere though anyway It's great to see that DM is having a say in these changes it seems -

I am hoping that is one thing DM changes when he looks at recruitment,as well as your usual better quality and pace etc,we need some battlers and not so nice in your face kind of players as well -
You obviously don't live in the area...So I'll excuse your ignorance. Sent from my SM-A217F using onevalefan mobile app

For someone who is enjoying life outside of football you're doing a hell of a lot of football forum posting. -
A figure of speech my dear boy! Stratford is 14 mins away from us and is, by any rational standards, acknowledged as the gateway to the Cotswolds. Cheltenham is at the southern tip of this beautiful part of the world. You should get out more often and widen your horizons.

That's good no offence but it showed it was blatant as . Exeter 2 up should have been 4 up first half second half come out like they were done conceded, 4 looked a pile of <ovf censored> and played like it .NOT FIT last 46 mins never mind 90 plus V Fleetwood 2 up maybe should have been more half time come out played like there bodies, and minds were finished at half time drew 2 -2 lucky not lose 5-2 by end of game as Fleetwood players fit as a fiddle . There just two examples v Peterboro away I thought first half we were saving our energy for second half crikey second half Peterboro were going past us so easily it was absolutely disgusting considering 3 days earlier they had won cup and played on energy sapping Wembley pitch , they obviously celebrated if not they are not like most modern day party loving footballers.,but still could outrun snd out play us due to our horrific FITNESS. Well done DM it's s start -
Good news for me, at least relegation means I can see The Vale away more.My favourites are Gillingham & Colchester.

Sad for anyone losing their job but think DM would be spot on in feeling that way. The boasts last pre-season of being fitter, faster and stronger ended up proving very much the opposite so pleased to see DM address it. -

5? Longton, Fenton, Stoke, Hanley, Burslem, Tunstall = 6, surely? And don't call me Shirley! The best thing about the Potteries is the fantastic countryside within 5 minutes drive in all directions.
