Fuller, Pope, Hughes, Williamson and Dickinson... not bad for our strike options if we could get Fuller and Dickinson.

 

Fuller would be great. Really do not get the Dickinson thing it's just not the real deal for me seriously though. He has been injured for best part of 18 months he will continue to struggle with it would only sign him non contract or month to month. Why would we need him if we could get Ricardo.

Would not be at all bothered if we did not sign Dickinson or fuller. The best news for me would be at the other end defenders capable of clean sheets. Last season at L2 level we were about as capable of delivering clean sheets as a Blackpool landlady ( not often) so our defence is a big worry.

Ex-Stoke or not, I'd like to see the Vale investing in player development for future security and progression or in suring up our defence and not in flair players nearing retirement on sky high wages looking for a last big contract who haven't tasted form in years. Good in his day is not good enough. Thanks but no thanks Ric.

 

There are better assets out there and we have a healthy front line already. I look forward much more to watching how our defence takes shape before August.

1) Vale are investing for the future. Its called the development squad.

2) Our defence will be "shored" up. No question. By the way, its the 2nd of June. No panic.

3) How do you know Fullers wages and whats everyones obsession with such? Micky has a budget. If he wants him and can afford him, he gets him. If he cant afford him, he wont. To even suggest we would offer a player sky high wages for the sake suggests you have little faith in Norman Smurtwaite and his ability to run a business.

4) As an impact player from the bench, Fuller will be more than capable. He is a real game changer and light years away from previous dross like Kyle Perry and Danny Glover.

5) Healthy frontline? We only have 3 out and out strikers in Pope, Hughes and Williamson. If one or two got injuries and suspensions we become very thin on the ground. We need another striker.

 

I expect defensive players to be signing in the coming couple of weeks. Dunner panic.

The info has come from Twitter.

I have tweeted the person directly and asked if it is a wind up.

His reply is as follows........

"I've heard it off a few that I trust mate, including the same one that told me Hughes to Stoke,he's normally on the money"

 

Some people have said Fuller is training with Preston but we had Jeff Smith, Byfield and Hawley training with us last pre-season and none of them signed.

All will be revealed on Wed-Radio Stoke will probably tell us that us that Onandi Lowe has been arrested-that's how up to date they are......................
