Just got the receipt for my ST that I bought over the phone.

 

It gives me a five digit 'client reference number' that I need to input to activate my online account. No web address is given. The official site doesn't give me any help.

 

Can anyone out there tell me:

 

- why I need to do this?

- where to find the website to do it?

I've had the same. I must say, for a technophobe like me it's all a bit mystifying.

 

Not all of us follow club website announcements on such matters, and with it being the biggest-ever change in ticket systems it may have been a good idea to enclose a letter to explain what's happening.

I assume there will be an explanation with the ST cards, I expect Rob will have to set his web to high traffic mode to deal with the queries.

I'd be pretty certain it's an off the shelf program that will be used by various Ticketmaster clients and on that basis once it's operational I think the Ticketmaster manuals/help menus will be of sufficient quality to make it pretty accessible and straightforward for all fans.

 

Wouldn't think a letter would be necessary, the letter or advice will be online once everything is live I'm sure.

I would think that this is a code that you would use on ticket master or the website for tickets to away games such as wolves or other games when big crowds are expected so that Season ticket holders get first go at buying the tickets before general release.
