Even when presented with an opportunity to portray an alternative, or to at least present a balanced view point, there is an inability do so.

 

All very sad really.

 

It's the last sign of desperation IMHO. Make enough noise, create enough distraction and hope that will suffice.

 

Sadly all it goes to illustrate is that when you get down to the crux of the matter, and cut through all that noise, there is actually nothing of substance there at all.
