Supporters club AGM

Just a quick reminder about the supporters club meeting on Tuesday night. I believe that it's at Tommy's 7.00pm.

I hope that there is a good turn out for a very important meeting. The present committee is standing down after what we all must say is a very good job well done.

It is vitally important that a good 'new team' is selected as it is going to be a hard job getting 'bums on seats' in these heady days of success on the field and times of calm off it.

We will need a vibrant forward thinking bunch to grasp the nettle and try and whip up enthusiasm because a strong SC is a must to help and advise the the new owners of the fans wishes. Not all of the fans ideas will be taken on board by Paul and Smurf I'm sure but the fact that they are supportive of the SC proves that they will at least listen to what the fans are saying.

I hope that those that choose not to attend don't complain at the new appointments or worse still the lack of them!

I'm guessing you wont know who's up for election until you get there and I hope there will be some info on each person as to vote someone on, to what is an important committee, who you've probably never heard of and no idea if they'll be any good, without this would be ludicrous! Informed choice and all that.

 

Should have had a document with each roll, what is expected of each roll, and ask for a 500-1000 written piece as to why they should be voted on which could be sent out, via email to all SC members.

 

To turn up on Tue with no idea who you are voting for or why defeats the object for me...

 

I agree with the above that this is a HUGE decision in future of SC and i'm very disappointed in the lack of info about what is a very important process going forward.

I'm sure it will be done properly and we will know who is standing before the meeting. There are a couple of folks who post on the fizzhog page The "Wonder" of Port Vale who expressed an interest and 1(female) has applied. I think Martin Tideswell knows them.

Agree 100%. There is no info other than date and time on the SC website.

I'm surprised that we have not heard anything from the SC about who's up, and that it will come down to a vote of the 50 or so who can turn up to the AGM - whilst the SC actually has a membership of 1600 I believe. Sounds like the way 1970's trade unions were run.
