You know what, they well be, but I also suspect they don't actually want promotion.

 

Looking back through TLB's posts and he suggests that promotion would actually cost the club quite a lot, certainly in the short term.

 

Course, what with the board being Vale fans that wouldn't matter, would it?

Sheff Utd have to win their next two games, scoring 9 goals in the process, as well as relying on Crystal Palace to lose both games, to stay up.

 

Ah, but don't forget that if Crystal Palace lose then the goal difference shortens. A couple of 0-2 defeats for Palace and Sheff Utd only need 5 goals!

 

Not going to happen mind you.
