Mr Plant in the Sentinel

Mr Plant certainly says it the way it is though and it is a completely factual article that is all well known and out there in the public domain anyway...

Its obviously not going to go down to well on one side of the fence when its bought up is it..And the usual vitriolic spiel will be thrown his way from that side, which is strange considering how well they are at raising little nothings from the past themselves when it suits...

I know its hard for a lot on here, but there really is 2 sides to the arguement..

And whilst the people in power hold the aces its as we were......

 

No vitriol here, but any thoughts on why Mr Plant didn't make any mention of Waterworld and the success that Mo has had in turning that particular business?

 

Personally, I find it a little bit odd that Mr Plant choose to use the example of a small media company that was always going to be a real struggle to turnaround rather than another business in the leisure industry that had great potential but wasn't being managed to realise that potential.

 

I certainly know which example has more parallels with the Vale, and it's not Focal.

 

And that is before we even get to looking at Mark Sims' background. I await with interest Mr Plant's attempt to discredit a life long Vale fan made good and now looking to help out his local team.

 

As you say, there is always 2 sides to an argument. Mr Plant would be well advised to remember that before his next decides to so publically setting himself up for a fall.

Would you like to see Mr Plant or the Sentinel publish a similar piece on the boards credentials then? In the interest of fairness!

Thanks to everyone who has been working to ensure that Vale fans can be made aware of what the board are really like. Unlike some allegations made from the board, arguments against the board are heavily backed up with facts and good reasoning.

 

I've left my response to that letter of Plant's. I'm going to deliver a copy to The Sentinel too as I work on 'Fez P' and I reckon they may be more likely to publish delivered letters.

 

Vale fans are entitled to both sides of the story, not one-sided propaganda. Open and honest? For us all?

I have read Mr Plant's letter.

 

Am I to assume, given Mr Plant's status as a PVFC official (as he has an email address, a clip board, access to the database and a phone) that this is the Board's official response to the revised bid - namely a smear campaign?

 

Mr Deakin - I am reliably informed that you have internet access and you are monitoring this forum even though you may not be in situ. I would invite you to please advise:

 

1. Does Mr Plant indeed write in his capacity of a PVFC official?

2. If so, what role does he have at the club?

3. Are his comments and views shared by the Board?

4. Did Mr Plant send this letter with the Board's knowledge and approval?

 

I am interested to understand why this letter would be printed the day after a revised bid is tendered in accord with the V2001 Charter pursuant to Mr Bratt's open invitation in The Sentinel last Saturday. It is hardly the response we expected.

 

Perhaps you would be kind enough to enlighten not only myself but the many interested fans who have through various posts asked the same questions.
