I dare say Leeds, with all due respect to Popey, might be looking higher up the food chain when their own takeover is done and dusted.

 

I was using them as an example SV.......Massive difference between Championship and Div1 wages mate.....

Pay him the going rate and let him decided. Hope he has learnt from Roy Sproson and wants to stay at this club where he loves and the fans love him.

 

Look at the players who have left and not made the grade or got games. He could be another hero at Vale like Roy.

 

Roy Sproson stayed at Vale during the era of the maximum wage, where he couldn't have earned more anywhere else even if he wanted to.

 

I go along with the sentiment though - Andy Jones and Darren Beckford to name just two who didn't prosper after leaving VP.
