Murphy in line for debut!

I only saw Murphy for the last few minutes at Morecambe but he impressed me and helped to turn the game back in our favour. He is big strong and could be just what we need in our light weight midfield.

 

It's interesting that Grew referred to Wycombe's players as big, strong lads. This might just give Murphy the edge over Duffy and James in midfield. They're tall but don't have his physical presence. Anyway, in Micky we trust.

There's two ways of looking at it. James and Murphy are not match fit, or James and Murphy should be fresh. We have a gap centre mid tomorrow, well if one of or both of these two can't step in why are they on the books? I'd prefer a square pegs square holes approach and draft one of these two in rather than juggling the team around and playing someone out of position. If he's fit Murphy for me.

Grew knows more than me but I wasn't aware that Wycombe were a big tall team.

Morgan and Kuffour aren't big lads and will pose problems on the deck not in the air.

Are their defenders all six footers?

With McCombe, McDonald and Pope in the team we should be able to cope with an aerial challenge but I thought the same against Gillingham and it didn't quite turn out like that!

Their front lads are quick and tricky - and that worries me more than a team of giants.

Well if Murphy makes his debut tomorrow good luck to him, hopefully 3 points more for the Vale.

Wycombe have been described as a big, physical side, so starting Murphy would make sense as long as he's fit to complete at least most of the game.

 

As long as we score first I think we'll win the game, though I have a feeling today will end 1-1.

from what iv seen of kingsley he likes to put a foot in, id like to see him get his chance
