Oh yes, good old Smudgger. 100% effort and commitment  90% grappler, 10% footballer , but hey, what does that matter?

It's a lot better than what we currently have, 90% bottlers, 10% footballers.

Disagree, I don’t think he’s really any worse than the other two. I would say those two in all honesty have been shown a lot more leniency than what Marosi would have experienced if he put in similar levels of performance plus he’s the only one of them under contract beyond this season so may as well see if there is anything to get out of him.

Difficult one this. All 3 keepers have performed abysmally. It is very definitely a chicken or egg thing. Is the defence utterly useless because they are nervous and don't trust the keeper(s), which would unsettle any defence. Or is it that the keepers are utterly useless because they cannot rely on the defenders defending. We see on a regular bases runners not being tracked, wide men not prevented from putting crosses in. Opposition players waltzing through our defence like it wasn't there and small players continually beating 6'3" centre halfs in the air.

Let's face it, as a so called "professional" football team we absolutely suck at every facet of the game.

Never mind, the kids of workshy locals are getting free meals.

Fair shout, I think this is one of those situations where multiple things can be true at the same time. The second goal we conceded against Exeter was the best example of this not just Shipley’s “attempt” at a tackle. That should have been cut off at source before the cross if Gordon had done his job right, followed by a really weak clearance and Gauci being beaten again from outside the box. Long way of saying we’re just not very good.

I do think though and this stems across multiple regimes this clubs record with keepers is absolutely abysmal in general since Scott Brown.

And how's he doing at Tranmere?

My team for Saturday:

4-2-3-1: Amos; John, Heneghan, Humphries, Hall; Ojo, Walters; Hall, Garrity, Archer; Stockley

Subs: Marosi, Clark, Debrah, Croasdale, Paton, Waine, Cole

Flat back four and a target up front. Sticking Garrity in as people seem to think he will be ready for a start but if not I’d swap Paton for him.Someone to play between the lines and arrive late into the box.

Not sure Ojo is going to fight for the cause. A traffic cone would have done a better job last Saturday

If we don’t bring anymore players in before the window shuts especially a gk, I say give Marosi a run see if he can gain any confidence. If he could start making some incredible saves and commanding his area, catching the ball from corners, coming rushing out winning one on ones he could be the best keeper in league 2 next season.

This has to be tongue in cheek

Ben Amos hasn't kept a single clean sheet all season. I honestly don't think Marosi is that much worse.

I don’t really rate Amos but I think we’re forgetting how poor Marosi was early season. It may be why I rated Gauci so highly initially as he was replacing him. To me, Gauci is the best of a bad bunch. I still think he’s got potential but he has regressed significantly

If we have lots of shots tomorrow no doubt Daniel Bachmann who Leyton Orient have signed on loan today will have a worldy.

Just before he lost his place in the team he had a really good game at Burton then Moore decided “no we can’t be having any of that” and dropped him a game or two after. Before joining us he’s had a solid L1 career so it’s hard for me to believe he’s just instantly gone to crap since joining. I don’t know if it’s the coaching or something else but too many keepers have failed here to be a coincidence now.

Outside of that he’s here next season most likely where the other two won’t be I would think. Not the best reason granted but I’m with @Keyvale

Marosi has 2 clean sheets from 5 appearances and has conceded 7.

Amos has 0 clean sheets from 7 appearances and has conceded 14.

Gauci has 4 clean sheets from 13 appearances and has conceded 15.

Whilst none of them particularly fill me with confidence, I think he's been hung out to dry a little when Amos and Gauci have got away with murder this season.

Like I say I think that performance was a one-off I think more down to lacking match fitness. I’d give him another chance, he’s been good previously.

100% agree,he got a lot of stick last weekend and probably rightly so but he is imo a very good player and one we need to be firing on all cylinders.

Not sure on the team but after what Brady said i just hope that we means we dont see Shipley or Ojo again in a Vale shirt... I actually wouldn't mind Humphreys getting a crack in the middle of the park after his cameo last week
