We've lacked a set identity or set up to the team, Darren Moore has proven himself so far to be a pragmatic manager whose performances with the team so far you could quite rightly question. 

I've got no wish at the moment to give DM the power of recruiting our first team squad that doesn't match up what we are doing with the academy, because it really does seem like it would be all over the place. 

We just need a DoF and recruitment team who can bring in the right players for the right positions, so that when Moore isn't here any more, a manager can step in without massive upheaval.

Folks if you’re thinking of binning your ST or Membership, DON’T. I’ve used mine this week to fill some small holes in a wall with poly filler. The flexibility is absolutely superb and leaves a fantastic finish. Just needs rubbing down with sandpaper and painting over. Definitely the best use I’ve had from the card this season

Just got back home after driving back to Somerset. Haven't read the thread but I will give my opinion of what I saw today. First half well worth the 2 goal lead without playing particularly well but didn't have to because Exeter were toothless in attack and Vale were on the front foot. Second half started and alarm bells started to ring straight away. In their first attack Exeter almost scored but were only denied a goal by Ripley pulling off a fine reflex save. From the on it was very much one way traffic towards the Vale goal. Vale seemed to sit back and try to protect their lead with the almost inevitable consequence of conceeeding goals. We got battered second half with weakness at full back being exploited ruthlessly. Their keeper had nothing to do second half, Vale's only shot hitting the Hamil Rd stand roof

And what genius tactical plan did the manager come up with. He took Uche off and replaced him with Jensen Weir. So up front we had no physical presence to occupy the Exeter central defenders. Today we witnessed the recruitment shortcomings of this season. Exeter playing poorly made substitutions that altered the course of the game and improved significantly. Vale had nobody on the bench that was capable of turning the game back in our favour. Relegation now beckons and it will be deserved on that performance and many others this season.

An argument can be nonsense. I appreciate you don't agree with it but I don't see what your alternative approach or structure would be; so it's nonsense (to me).

I'd honestly be deeply worried based on DM's management so far if he also recruited the players for the first team.

I'm not sure why you wouldn't be either. At the moment I still believe he's the right manager for the team, though. But that's only because he hasn't had a transfer window of new players coming in to work with. If things are bad come November then my view on him could change.

We had an average league 2 squad and just managed to get promoted. We didn't build on that squad enough so we are now in this position. Where we probably get relegated.

The point is the playing squad was completely underfunded that's why we are where we are and it's also because your mum doesn't like to admit to mistakes

By run the club I mean academy, training pitches, plans to be financially stable etc. The owners have input but the dof definitely has input because it may effect the football side of things.

What an absolute clusterfuk of a day, season, 18 months. Just lumbers along from drama to drama with no let up or positivity on the horizon
Yeah mathematically we still aren't down and I suppose it's only league 2 looming, but boy oh boy it's been hard work for us. Nothing to cheer about just disappointment on disappointment with extreme negative emotion constantly thrown in for good measure, just to keep us on our toes and bickering amongst each other thru sheer frustration and disillusionment.
No idea where we go from this mess, with what seems to be no, or very limited money . No idea at all.
Why can't it be better?
