Why waste money on hotels

Just driven past the ground, why is the players coach there. I appreciate, they need professional preparation with it being a long trip, but we are in admin for gods sake. Surely a 7am start would not hurt them for crying out load.

Was it not said on here that someone would be privately funding the players' accomodation expenses?

Despite being in admin surely the important thing is to keep the team functioning as normally as possible by maintaining tried and tested procedures.

Yes, we would save a few hundred quid but we would have a team of players unhappy at not being paid in full whilst also experiencing disruption to the pre away match routine.

We need to give them every opportunity to gain the points needed for gauranteed survival.

Footballers are Prima Donnas I'm afraid. I agree that they should not always be wrapped up in cotton wool. The real world is a harsh place that they do not always seem to inhabit.

But can you imagine now what they would say if their bubble was burst?

'We can't win cuz we had to get up early'

'We haven't been paid our over inflated wages'

And who would suffer in the long run? Us as fans of a team relegated.

I say keep them happy for now, but if we get investment after all this mither, then **** most of them off because they clearly aren't good enough and rebuild.

I disagree - an early start and long coach journey is no way to prepare for a game we could do with something from.

If they were doing that it would have been better to hand Crawley the points and save everyone the trouble.
