cash only at club shop

As unable to attend on tues or satdee thought it would help if i went down to club shop today and spend some dosh. Had to make short trip to cash point as informed only cash sales accepted at this time, so to ensure money does'nt end up on the wrong hands.

Surely if you pay by card, the money can't go anywhere but straight into the club's bank account?

I understand. Card Payment machine have to be connected to a working phone line. Have the bills been paid? Have some lines been disconnected? Did people use cards at the Ticket Office last night?

Until the administrator is officially appointed, presumably they have no access to the club's bank account then, whereas the directors of the club are still technically signatories?

i rung up today to see if i could buy a season ticket for the remaining home games but was told a flat NO. i hope whoever buys the club has better business ideas, its crazy when you cant give your money away.

The banks charge for simply using the machine as I know through my own company. Perhaps the bank has frozen this facility until past charges have been settled

I'd wait until we're actually in admin before parting with any readies. You wouldn't want your cash to end up at someone's house in a biscuit tin, would you? There could still be people at the club who have previous experience of such events.;)

I went in on Tuesday to hopefully use my £15 voucher from the GTC competition I've been holding until V2001 left. Hopefully I will still be able to use but no great drama if not.

 

Wanted to buy a players shirt but the only two they had were of players who had left some time ago!
