Teams would rather get themselves into loads of debt, just to try to get further up the football league, rip off loads of small businesses and then go into administration as the easy option. There are loads of clubs doing this at the moment !!

 

Administration is not the way for forward.

 

It's unfair on clubs like Macclesfield and Hereford, who have no debt and are fighting to retain their football league status every season !!

Then there's Birmingham whose owner is in court, and the previous owner of Brighton who sold the ground from under their feet, and MK Dons who were allowed by the football authorities to relocate 83 miles. The list goes on. And the latest piece of football research shows that there are only about 10 clubs in the entire league trading within their means while the FA and FL look on. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns.

 

It's only the fans, who really care, who are keeping the whole football edifice afloat.

Birmingham, it is widely reported, will enter into admin if they don't gain promotion this season and that for me is a despicable plan to run by.

 

Teams in our league are limited to spending a maximum of 60% of income on wages which is sensible and therefore they are hardly chasing the dream. Indeed Micky is under budget.

 

Teams that are spending over 100% of income to chase dreams of trophies and promotions at other people's expense should have their records wiped.

I agree with that however let's balance that up by looking at people who sneak their way into clubs and strip it of money whilst the football side of the business is being managed prudently and the club(s) clearly aren't over stretching to reach glory in the case of us and Darlington.
