We'd be naive to think the players think anything other of this situation than 'I'll get fixed up elsewhere if it goes pear-shaped'

No chance. I agree the majority aren't good enough for league football but at least the following would get fixed up;

Richards

Loft

Collins

McCombe

McDonald

Griff

Rigg

and possibly Williamson

Absolutely spot on but as we know the trained media answer is more akin to "we can only focus on things on the pitch doing the best we can, delivering the results, pushing for a play-off place or better, and let others manage the other side of things" or something like that.

Unfortunately as ambassadors of the club they don't have much choice.

 

If Radio Stoke had said "we tried to talk to Tom Pope this week but he declined."
