My Take On Last Night….

Recommended Posts

I thought on the pitch Vale were quite lucky to gain a point – the team certainly bore no resemblance to the last time I saw Vale play pre-Christmas, I thought they lacked fitness and didn't have any cutting edge in the last 3rd of the field. Thought Hereford were a well organised team who'd done their homework on Vale, nullifying the midfield and looking dangerous on the break. Still can't understand the fitness issue, even after the recent troubles at the club they are after all professional footballers, one or two of the players lack self-discipline imo.

Off the pitch I thought the Vale support was magnificent, didn't note the attendance but thought it was a really good atmosphere, every one uniting behind the team, big thumbs up, great to see.

One observation (and I'm sure Ill get slated for this, board mole, etc etc) – I didn't personally see many black or gold scarves wearing fans. Not sure if they all congregate in one area but from where I was I think I noticed 2 in the ground all night. Went round after the game to see what the demonstrations where about, saw a few police outside the main entrance and on the steps and about 20 or so people standing around (more police tbh) but no 'protest' as such – it was straight after the game however and not sure how it works, maybe something happened later???????

Said before the game in reality needed 7 point from these 3 home games as on last nights showing I can't see many more points being gained on the road so the next 2 games are biggies. Not sure if I can make Saturday yet but will certainly be their next Tuesday.

I sat in the Paddock, but also walked through the Railway Stand and also walked up and down Hamil Road and drove through Burslem after the game.

I can assure you, there were one hell of a lot of people wearing black and gold and these people are NOT going away.

Didn’t realise their was a match thread – mods, feel free to merge, my apologies.

Although if you went on that logic pal 99% of all posts on the forum are about the same thing so merge them all into one and we might just be able to debate other Vale matters apart from the predictable sack the board stuff that clogs the place up.

Why do you want to discuss Vale matters, you have nothing to do with our club. Go away and post on your own website.

As a Vale fan, I have a lot to be depressed about at the moment.

But, nothing dispirits or irritates me more than clicking on here everyday to find this transparent halfwit fouling up and polluting threads.

It's insulting the intelligence of every true Vale fan and deflecting attention away from the more important issues currently besetting our club. But I guess that's the point, isn't it.

I thought you were coming to the Bulls Head before the match?

Anyway, with regards to the wind up attempt, if I were writing a school report it would read "Must try harder". You're simply following a long line of fools, RobbieH, Trentham Valiant et al. Crikey, at least thecharlatans is amusing at times.

You tricked me there....I read the the first two paragraphs and thought you were a changed man.

I now realise as with all your posts you are on a wind up again, on behalf of the board,to say you think you only noticed 2 B&G scarves is a joke.

It shows to me the board have to rely on plebs like you to wind up the support, B&G will not go away You will though, and so will i when I dont by 3 season tickets next season ===

I agree they didn't look fit enough, the game we played pre-gannon, and how Grewy wanted to play last night, was 'in your face and don't give them a second on the ball' and we struggled after a while. It was pretty obvious that hardcore fitness training had gone. And it will take a while to get it back.

Grew and Horse had half a day to change things back to 'normal'. No time at all.

A BIG positive for me last night was the heads not going down after they scored. Under <ovf censored> as soon as we went a goal down, heads dropped and it was game over. Last night we kept going and got a point.

Yes, I was disappointed with last nights performance and results, but I'm not going to do the typical Vale fan thing and get all downhearted after 1 game.

Quite obvious now, why the board did not accept an offer of a thread on here,if they can only find idiots like this to spout for them. Has the board any more stooges at other obscure clubs to dig out. More the merrier, it shows the standard of thier augument, which is fairly low.

Totally agree there mate but as professional footballers you'd think that some would have the self-discipline to keep themselves fit wouldn't you? A couple of the players looked totally fooked after 50 minutes last night, not sure if theirs a problem at Vale with certain players out on the lash but it was certainly the case at Forest a few years back when Mugson was in charge, considering the amount their paid I think it’s a *******g disgrace.

So you now accept that I am a Forest fan now then after stating the total opposite yesterday? Apology accepted and your full retraction noted…

I was merely pointing out that I did not see many scarves on view MYSELF yesterday, I'm not disputing that there is not a major campaign in place.

For what it's worth I have nothing but respect for the people who have setup and got involved in the Black and Gold campaign, we're all football fans at heart and you have my 100% respect for getting off your ***** and doing something about what you have a strong feeling for and I sincerely hope you succeed.

The fact that I don't conform to all the views of the "clicky-cliché" that exists on here (and I've not once stated that I either support or don't support the campaign) and have made a couple of observations about Mo's bid and everyone getting behind the team for the 3 home games then makes me out to me a Mole of the Board or on a wind-up and subject of crude abuse by certain 'in crowd' posters is sad in the extreme.
