Melv, how many other posts say SEO on this thread? The club shop workers may end up losing jobs through threads like this but that won't matter to joe Port Vale fan because it's all for the good of the club

And GF I will happily keep on going to games whilst still wanting the removal of this board. Not that you would remember what going to a game was like. How much money have you put in recently to help this club stay alive?

First of all if I have the cash I do go to games which is vey rarely atm with being a student. I have been to a few games this season just not many.

Address your questions to Deakin and Miller - they are the ones starving the club at the moment. They are not getting my money.

I agree, MarkB2... if people want to help prevent shop and other Vale staff being laid off, perhaps they could write to Miller and Deakin requesting that they immediately resign and clear off. This would immediately put another 2 or 3 hundred thousand pounds per year at the club's disposal and help prevent redundancies... No doubt they will ignore such requests though.

Although normally, i'd agree with what you are saying here, fans making purchases will not stop staff losing their jobs at PVFC. The SC, until recently was holding meetings in TC's, purchasing ale and soft drinks....... then a long serving member of staff loses his job, shortly followed by Vale fans of the SC having the chance to spend money at PVFC, taken away by closing the doors.

With this lot, you can forget reasoned actions.

I await the lead from the SC with respect to Deakin and Miller.

lets be clear though, - you only have to watch the other half of the city to see what we're competing against.

Where are the supporters of tomorrow going to come from?

Ultimately we all want this club to be successful, that's what binds us together. Dont get me wrong, I went on the marches and passionately believe the club is in the wrong hands, however unless this club fights for every penny, then in 5 years time we'll probably be on this web site reminiscing about when we had a football team to support.

But these pennies the club are fighting for are going in the the pockets of greedy fat-cats and not strengthening the clubs position and future.

The wife says you are exactly spot on the bloke who works there has got a face like a sour lemon no hello how are you or kiss my **** or anything.

I'm struggling to comprehend how this opinion has been generated. I've spent a lot of time in the Club Shop since I've supported the Vale, and I've never had any issues with politeness, courtesy and getting a warm welcome. Maybe being familiar with Andy, Joan, Tiff, Brian, Jean and the others helps with that, but even before I got to know them, I was always greeted with manners.

I've got £45 worth of shop vouchers (courtesy of our Aussie friend Barry) sitting in my drawer which I just can't bring myself to 'spend.' I know that the club have already had the money for them' date=' but it still just doesn't feel right to 'buy' from the shop! I'm with Nick... S the B out![/quote']

But in this instance you are not starving them out are you? As the club already has had the money.:ohmy:
