Yawn.Sevco would struggle in League 2 they're that bad.Celtic have been unbelievable this season defeating Partick,Kilmarnock,Ross County,Hamilton and St.Johnstone.Its like sticking Chelsea in the PDSL.

Scottish football may not be of the highest standard, but apart from the top of the SPL I feel there is more honesty in the game than we see here in England.

 

Rarely do you see players throwing themselves to the ground which, sadly, is the norm for all four of our leagues. This helps their game to flow which, although of a lower standard, makes matches more watchable and entertaining.

 

To me it’s like a throw back to what our game was like several years ago before the cheats moved in.

 

A friend of mine coined Scottish football “exciting rubbish” which seems to sum it up perfectly.

I don’t think that this is necessary true.

 

There is no realistic competition to Bayern Munich in Germany for example, but they regularly feature in the latter stages of the Champions League. What Celtic fail to do is attract TOP players to Parkhead, which is presumably due to financial restrictions.

 

Until recent years, Celtic had heavy competition from Rangers, but both failed to compete on a regular basis at European level.

 

Both the old firm have contested the Europa League Final in the last 15 years or so, but these excursions have been the exception to the rule.

 

What both clubs need is better players, not necessarily better competition at domestic level.
