Adam Yates Abusing Fans?

Robbie Earle's Perm

Recommended Posts

I was told which fans it was again. It doesn't matter if Puyol and Cockney were together both of their groups were abusing Yates throughout the game at Bristol. Sounds familiar, if I was Yates I would have told you lot **** off as well.

Are you going to send me another PM telling me how cockney is after me?

Like I said, children.

When did i send you a pm?

There are a few posts stating, and quite rightly so be the way, that most of the squad and maybe the back room staff aren't good enough. The last person I recall making this statement publicly was Jim Gannon who I also recall was hounded out for saying it. Now don't get me wrong I too didn't like Jim Gannon's way of doing things but I can't help thinking that he may of had a point, a point that some of us missed - interesting!!!

I think that if Yates is getting a lot of **** from people then he should be entitled to get frustrated especially when he is trying to concentrate on a game. There are too many who like to give players ****, but as soon as the player reacts, a finger gets pointed at the player. Back off him because in the last 2 seasons he has been one of the better performers. He's hardly the type to just attack fans for nothing is he and I know for a fact we have some moron away fans who like to cause trouble and go beyond those trying to attend a game of football.

No excuse for what Yates did, but it must be difficult to ignore the abuse when he is so close to the touchline and the mongs are so vocal. He gets exposed a lot in some games by wingers who have worked him out, and his team mates aren't always a fat lot of use in covering. That said, I just don't think he has it at this level - too many of our players have had enough games now at the club to show whether they are capable of getting us up the league, and the answer seems to be that they cannot. Not his fault - he seems to be doing his best, but he needs to keep his thoughts to himself. If the Vale hadn't already bought the game in to disrepute after last night's performance, he might ...
