Future of Football games on telly

Recommended Posts

Following the news of Fox trying to buy SKY . I was wondering what will happen with Saturday games ? especially now most pubs and people have the dodgy box or kodi stick to watch any game at 3pm.

I see in america they have a season ticket game pass for you're favourite nfl team and get to watch every game they play. Anyone else think this will be the future for the premier league ?

There are also different levels of Game Pass, you can pay to watch everything if you're so inclined. If you get the full package, you have access to the highlights etc too

The 3pm rules kind of rule the American style package out. My friend has it over in the states, he's bought 3 TVs so he can watch 3 games at once on a Saturday afternoon.

I'm kind of in favour of ValeFan01's idea. Shift the Premier League to a Sunday (Friday if they have a Champions League game the following Tuesday) and leave the Football League/Non-League to it on a Saturday. It may have a significantly positive effect on attendances in the lower leagues.

Sky are knackered and I don't think we're far away from a premier league melt down, the world's a small place and if other countries can watch live 3pm games or stream the sky live games instead of paying for sky, they could end up in financial difficulty. What happens to 100m+ per team pay outs then.....

The sooner this happens the better for me as I think sky's **** anyway. Virgin or bt are better.
