Do We Offer Value For Money?

No....bring back the good old days when you had to stand on your tip toes and get crushed when we scored, all for £2.50 :)

I used to go to Old trafford at the start of Fergie's reign when Jim Leighton was the goalkeeper, it cost £3.50 to get in!! I remember going to Villa Park when live football was on ITV on a Sunday afternoon and it cost a fiver :ohmy: plus a quid for a kid to 'look after' me mates car

I think the prices (at the Vale at least) are absolutely shocking.

Pay on the gate, its about as much as some people can afford for a weekend, never mind for 90 minutes of football. And not to mention the quality like some people have mentioned.

Aspins-revenge post was bang on the money IMO. I wouldn't say occasional supporters are any less a supporter than the ones that are able to commit to a season ticket - it's not just how diehard you are, its whether you can commit to it socially, with games potentially getting moved to other days it might not be worth it for some.

Club's really ought to bring the prices down, but who sees that happening? It's not just professional clubs either charging a bomb. Harrow Borough (part time) charge £15 pay on the gate when I last checked. Why pay that when you can go cinema for half that?

It's a shame and I think a lot of people are losing out, unfortunately :(

Completely agree there, spot on!!

When V2001 came to power they set prices at around £15/16 for adults...and that was during our League One days!

Since then a relegation has occurred yet adult match-day prices have gone up by circa £5 since then. Where on earth is the logic in that?:(

Stoke-On-Trent is a deprived area which has been struggling for a number of years now. If the board think that they're going to get a decent amount of fans paying £20+ on the gate for 4th tier of Football they're on another planet.
