Someone called me names earlier this week as I highlighted the sorrow of some folks that hail from ST post codes.

You only had to have a quick look at the number of posts (let alone the actual content) on this thread compared to those on the Fleetwood post match comments thread to see my point!

More of a general characteristic really, happy people after a win tend to moan less than people do after a loss/draw, also more Vale fans saw the Oldham game than the Fleetwood game so more fans to be disappointed.

The amount of fans at Bury compared to the amount at Fleetwood doesn't correlate with the amount of comments at all.

People who are happy dont need to share the fact.... people who are disappointed tend to want to share the reasons why

Do you not think that makes for a frustrating and biased forum?

Whilst I am already aware of how negatives compel responses more than positives, I also believe that certain people do figuratively wait by their keyboards, rubbing their hands with glee when anything bad or even merely mediocre happens.

There's more to talk about when things are wrong and more to debate and discuss. When we win it's a simple well done from most people. You don't go over and over the positives or debate them.

You could be right, if thats the case we have to accept thats the way they are. If your wrong we still have to accept thats the way they are.

Writing 'Page out' or 'THE RETAiNED LIST IS STUPID' isn't really debating or discussing. I'm all for discussions but a large proportion of the posts following defeats (or even draws) are agenda ridden diatribes. If you look at someone like, I dunno, Jacko, after a defeat she comes on here with reasoned and perceptive criticisms of the performance, whereas the usual suspects just come across as some ape hurling a keyboard round their cage. There's no intelligence, no debate or discussion, just the sound of axes being ground.

You also have to allow for the possibility that some just want to let off steam
