I keep bleating on about it, but our set-plays are an absolute shambles. We can't defend them and we certainly never look like scoring of one. For all the other good stuff we've played at the start of the season, this weakness is completely unacceptable, especially given Page used to be a centre half.

6 corners first half and yet again no goals scored. I'd love to see someone work out how many corners we have had this season and the corner/goals ratio. My guess would be we've had around 50 corners & are yet to score directly from one. That's a joke.

I like Foley don't get me wrong. But his setpieces are absolutely terrible. Surely we have somebody who can do better than he has this season. Corners are atrocious. Free kicks are non starters. I've said on another thread, if oakes was fit we'd have another 3/4 goals on our tally easily. Even foleys penalties are terrible, been lucky to score any of them. Just a dink down the middle or a dink to the keepers right, the perfect height for a keeper. What's worrying is that nobody has picked up on the fact that this is happening in the Vale camp.

Shocking how bad we are at corners

The only thing you can conclude is that we don't practice them on training pitch, either defending or attacking. And again that is unacceptable in my eyes given how many goals come from them in the lower leagues.
