There are people here who spend up to 10 hours a day bent double in ankle deep mud and water, being nipped by crabs and bitten by mosquitoes and other insects, planting rice.... they daily salary is 400Bht... £8.

They do it so their kids can go to school, so the family can eat, so they dont have to rely on the family [or the state] to live and many other reasons... never mock the man further down the ladder than you because someone further up the ladder will crap all over you.

 

And where do they eventually end up working?

Never had my sunglasses broke by any mechanic white, born locally. As they say...First impressions last.
