Yet another thread where the somebody is taken the opportunity to have a go at Micky Adams. The guy is the only thing thats any good about the vale at the moment. There really are some absolute tools on OVF. Presume its open season on him because he is on the board. For gods sake get off his case - the season hasn't even started yet. Presume some people would welcome Gannon back if he said he supported SEO !!

Malbon looked fairly average whenever given the chance, and it seems his problems off the pitch were his main undoing.

Totally agree, cant believe Burslem Academicals hasn't been on spouting the same old nonsense, he normally laps up threads like this!

 

His attitude was crap and thats no good for team morale.

 

Remind me again who was it that gave Sam Morsey his debut??

His first sub appearance was under Adams in the 4-0 win over Lincoln in Feb 2010. His first start was Burnley I think under Gannon. I may be wrong on the latter, I'm still trying check that out.

Malbon is a classic case of a manager being able to coach him to his best ability and deal with all of the other issues too in a professional manner. Something obviously went wrong and the manager showed the lad the exit door. It's not always player attitude problems that cause the player/club split and I know from experience that MA can dislike a player, experienced or not, which means they're finished at that club.

 

Malbon will do well in the game as his football brain will see him through and his advisers inc family will ensure that he gets the right assistance.

No he came on at half time against Burnley, his first start was at Crewe where he was anonymous but overall he was excellent towards the end of last season and really looks like he has some potential. My one criticism of Adams' previous tenure was not giving the young lads a chance- i still think Richman and Lawrie could have made it given the chance, and this is something he needs to alter this time round. Morsy was arguably our best player in the last 3 months of last season but its doubtful Adams would have given him the chance had he remained in charge. Dont think he can be ignored now though.
