Season Ticket Update

Recommended Posts

I'm not buying one until those three have gone.

Over 1000 down on this time last year is bad, make no bones about it.

Some will drift back I'm sure but if several hundred hold out it will make a big impact on the finances as well as an enormous statement to everyone.

Had the Board departed I have no doubt that we would be well on the way to 4500 by now.

The Board are ruining the Club for their own selfish ends. And they are not having my money to help them stay in power.

I think it would be nearer 6000 with MC in, and the Evil Five gone, joy on the streets and a buzz about Burslem.=========

How many do you think they have sold? I brought mine ages ago I didn't sign the pledge because I did not feel the board would go. If people have signed the pledge and haven't got a ST and are not going to get 1 then I have a massive amount of respect for you. Its a tough decision, joking aside, to not renew.

It is very tough but enough is enough.

No doubt I'll be heartbroken on kick off day when the lads run out with 2-3 new players in the team and the sun is shining.

But I'm sticking to my guns and if I end up doing something else with my money I may not return.

It is not run by people of whom I approve and morally they have no right to be running OUR club. I am not prepared to stand aside and let them ride roughshod over me. There are important things in life like principle and fairness and democracy.

But you are right. It is tough.

Yep fair play to you. Are you going support a local non league side or sit and watch Jeff and the panel?

Do you know what - I really don't know what I'll do.

But the Board have destroyed my love affair with Port Vale. We are a laughing stock and a complete shambles now.

My real fear is that if I drift away I might lose interest and not return.

(By the way as many regulars know I am a fan of 48 years and a very long time season ticket holder not a jonnie come lately who changes his colours with the weather)

I see the latest claim from Deakin is that the club sold 2,500 season tickets by the end of the early bird period.

Apparently we've now sold 2,671 in total which includes 161 free tickets for under 9s. I find the last figure incredibly low - only 161 free kids tickets out of an alleged 2,671 total sales? That is absolutely woeful.

Of course, Deakin thinks these latest figures are a huge success - so impressive there's another discount period being offered over the weekend of 18th and 19th June to celebrate! Even if these figures are true, it's incredible the board can see a slump in season ticket sales of around a third as anything other than yet another big vote of no confidence in their running of the club.

About time we had a good news thread !!!!

This is excellant news....2,671 is fantastic after the last 6 months negativity we've had....:D

If the SEO guys would all purchase one i bet we could get that figure up to 2,680 ..:D

We are going to walk this league next year..:D

Looking forward to seeing the great Paulo Di Canio down the Vale too..Even if it is just as a manager..:D

Nice easy 6 points off Crewe...:D

And welcoming the "real" Wimbledon back to league footie...:D

It's also about having a bit of respect for yourself. Everyone knows what they are doing to our club is wrong, it's about making a stand. If poeple stuck together they would have to go. I can see a season of moaning ahead - they will sit there moaning about the Board, us, the players - anyone but themselves. I wonder how many are regretting a ST already? Perhaps next year we will SEO - when the USA cash runs out.

What a tool!! 38% drop on this year (4300 sold) is excellent news!! I'd love to know what you think is bad news. And that's from the more committed fans don't forget.
