Surely after Sims has gone through the books, the constant conspracy theories posted on here over the last 18 months will be realised? if this is the case, the board will be booted out and everybody is happy right?

 

Depends on what they find, if its serious enough fraud then they could be looking at legal proceadings and even prision time. A good reason for them to keep people out of them!

No company or football club can operate on a one shareholder one vote system - it doesn't work - only Vale fans on here think it does.

The board have used Adams as their trump card at every turn. They new they were in desperate trouble in April and when Adams was sacked by Sheff Utd the first thing they were desperate to do was offer him a ridiculously large salary and silly length contact despite him doing very little to justify it in either his conduct or managerial results in the last six months. They did so for one reason only. The hope that it would sway some shareholders to back them at the EGM.

 

Then at that EGM they survived by the skin of their teeth and were almost fatally wounded. Just about clinging on, they were/are unable to function. They know that the vast majority of the fans and shareholders are against them. They were in a position where they couldnt win. Virtually anyone they suggested for a director would certainly be rejected by the shareholders by virtue of the fact they would be a V2001 allie.

 

They tried all options..... Mark Sims because he could be outvoted, except so far Sims hasnt fallen for it..... An NLV representative for the same reasons, but they havent fallen for it either. So what was left their ever present Joker Mr Adams..... still a saint in the eyes of many fans and shareholders. If we get Micky to say its all about the team, that'll win em over! Dont be fooled!!

 

All im saying is that Micky isnt stupid. He bit their hands off for the chance to come back on daft money after, walking out in Dec, and ballsing up in

Sheffield. And now he sees his paymasters, who he has eating out of the palm of his hand are in danger of being ousted. That potentially means he will have new less easily impressed employers who might not be so malliable as Bill and his cronies. He could be in line to be replaced. One guarenteed way of making sure that doesnt happen is to become part of a board that cant be voted out!! Bingo the perfect job for as long as he wants it (e.g someone offers more cash).

 

What i was saying is that Shareholders should reject this cynical ploy and when a new broom sweeps through Vale Park it should sweep Mr Adams out the door never to return along with the bumbling idiots he has cosied up to.

That is probably why those clubs thrive, because they don't work by board members self preservation and work by the ambition of the fans. Bill Bratt prmosied one sharholder one vote and no pole votes in 2003. Why can the pro boarders not see this.

because little formed groups that like getting their name in the paper will always have conflicting views and there would be a call for EGM's every other month once results took a downturn. Remember there was none of this trouble when we were top of the league.

 

Also, AFC Wimbledon and FCUtd are spin offs of their original clubs. I suggest you should make a spin off for Port Vale and then you will get your wish. Please don't ever compare us to Barcelona again.

Think agai, there were protests and unrest while micky was manager the agm there were protests. There was cristism with rejection of investment for years. It has just took its toll now.

 

Yes they are break away clubs run in a way that v2001 promised vale. Barcelona is a club that is run in a good way and vale are timpot compared but its an example of one shareholder one vote. In the end I believe the club should be owned majorly by one person and I have thought this since before v2001. I was never 100% happy with them especially the 24.9% rule.
