u mad? everything he came for he got enough on to get it away from danger. he caught everything that was catcable, and a lot of the others he seemed to push up and away to the far side for walsall throws.

 

nothing he could do about the goal. great game

 

I'm not mad just somebody who seemed to watch the game a bit more closely than you appeared too.

 

There were at least 3 catches he came for and didn't get near too. 1 sailed over everybody and luckily beyond the far post. If you go for a cross as a keeper you have to get the ball. There are other comments about his dodgy kicking, slow distribution and that he went down too quickly for their goal and looked clumsy at times.

 

It's all down to opinions at the end of the day, however that doesn't make me wrong or mad! Those minor mistakes also mean that Sam didn't have a good or great game. People need to accept that at best he had an OK game.

Its obvious that an element of Sam’s game he needs to work on is his commanding of the area, however the age he is this is far from unique.

 

I think Neal is currently the slightly better keeper due to the above point, however Sam is showing far more potential than Neal ever will, its this potential that I have no doubt clubs higher up the leagues are very closely monitoring

I think its so important to offer him something now especially with him being first choice at the moment as if we let it run down as we normally do we wont get anywhere near what he is worth.

As I said before we have 2 great keepers but lets not forget Neal is also guilty of not getting some things he comes for and his kicking could be better,then again I guess 90% of keepers in the league have those faults
