EGM meeting and emails

Hi all,

 

Just surfacing for a break from reading and acknowledging emails sent to supportersclub...

 

The Baddeley Green Club have reported back that over 500 fans were present yesterday - but of course as Mr Bratt says the SC isn't representative of fans views.

 

Additionally I am ploughing through the emails sent to supportersclub .. I have read and acknowledged around 200 so far and I haven't got onto today's yet and its nearly tomorrow!

 

By the end of this consultation period I would think over 1,000 fans will have expressed their views at either the meeting or by email.

 

Considering we had a couple of days to set this consultation up I think its a bit rich of our Chairman to criticise its validity when he hasn't made any attempt whatsoever to create a dialogue with the fans in the last 6 months.

 

Forgive me for being bitter!

 

However, I reiterate my comments that the vote will not be my personal views - I am expressing them when I vote with my personal shareholding - the vote will be taking into account the majority opinion, and in whatever is considered the best interest of Port Vale FC. i.e. completing the remit given to the SC by Robbie's people.

forgot to say that I understand that the reason Radio Stoke did not broadcast the meeting is that they left it too late arriving and couldn't get their broadcast van near enough to the club due to the large number of people present.

 

I am hoping to get something on RS tomorrow about how the consultation is going.

Dave may i take this opportunity to thank you for all the immense work that you have done throughout the entire campaign. I believe i echo most Vale fans sentiments when i say you are an absolute legend and should never have to buy yourself a drink in Burslem ever again! Cannot wait until Wednesday when all of your hard work will finally be rewarded.

That would be a bit unfair at this stage, surely? Wouldn't want to discourage people from emailing while they still can. Even if it's what we might expect, the more emails on the same lines the better.
