Is this our Norm?

To the extent that I have a need to see our Chairman 'address' fans of another club? No.

Saturday should be all about Vale.

why is it that when we were in a similar predicament that people were happy to see some supporters from other clubs (stoke, wolves exc) boycott their own games to come and lend a hand to us, but now its the other way round, its the wrong thing to do?

That depends on whether the same people who were happy with fans of other clubns helping us are now condemning us helping another club..could be two completely different sets of people, or could not be

Every match we play is about football and without the opposition there would be no match..so support the Vale but show some empathy with Cov fans

But why bother even acknowledging Coventry's situation? Enough supporters have shown empathy on forums ect- to what degree do you carry on giving them support?? Give them all three points?? Give them our ground to play in? Hold on- why don't we give them the whole railway paddock as well as the hamill??

Sick of Smurf going on about Coventry- it's as if he wants to be THEIR chairman instead. Coventry should be treated like any other away team until after full time- we need the points.

Disappointed?

Disappointing is the impact so far of our summer signings. I couldn't care less if Smurthwaite wallows in the adoration of 'his people'. I certainly have no interest in his personal matter.

Totally agree- get on with the job in hand Smurf it's all about Vale saturday- let's not have 'another Wolves'

To empathise with fellow football fans who are going thru a tough time?

Not everyone from Cov who will be there on Saturday will have read comments on OVF or other vale forums.Maybe a round of applause before the match and then that's it?

Give them all three points??

No

Give them our ground to play in?

No

Hold on- why don't we give them the whole railway paddock as well as the hamill??

Now you're just being silly

No it isn't..spending millions on vale and none on Cov is a pretty good indicator as to where he's at

Coventry should be treated like any other away team until after full time- we need the points.

During the 90 minutes I totally agree

That's down to MA not NS

No one is asking you to have an interest in it..do what you wish

Why bother indeed! Why did you bother making a comment?

MA chooses the players to sign, trains/coaches them and picks the team..if they haven't made an impact then surely that's down to him not NS?

Again, why do you bring up NS as an issue? Anything beyond him rolling out the red carpet to another team is irrelevant to this thread.

Saying this success on the pitch is down to both of them.

During the 90 minutes I totally agree

Giving a team a warm, friendly welcome is more likely to benefit us IMO.

From a psychological perspective I'd say it gives us the upper hand. It's like...

Whenever an ex-player gets a bad reception, they often go on to produce a blinding display to make a point, and score a goal or two.

Generally speaking the opposite happens when they get a warm welcome e.g. Akpo Sodje.
