If I'm not mistaken Vale would have been away at Burnley because of the alphabetical draw. Not quite the same payday as a trip to the Brit.

I enjoyed Tuesday's game and no doubt Vale were hard done by on various decisions. Having said that there were loads of positives to take from the game and if you can play like that for the rest of the season it should be a good one, just don't substitute Griffith when there is no need! That decision cost the game as much as anything. I'll be at our game v Walsall so will be interesting to compare the two. Am looking forward to seeing Baxendale play again, very impressive even before he scored.
