Getting rid of Tommy won’t free up any cash he’d just signed his first pro contract. Burnley’s academy is at a higher level than that of ours, so good luck Tommy, So he’s gone to play boys football, when we all say that young players need to play men’s football to improve, hence all the lads who go out on loan to L1 and L2 clubs. You can’t have it both ways.
I just hope that in the next 2.5 hours they pull off a miracle because it seems like we’re just selling what we own and renting replacements. This is fine if the replacements are better but it’s a short term solution because come next season when they’ve all returned to their parent clubs we’ll be left with nothing unless we get another Devine or Arblaster. -

Who says he'll be straight in the first team there...??
Osh, He won’t, but we’re L1, they’re EPL. They obviously see something for the future. Do we have any vision, we seemed to when the term Championship Ready was being banded about

Sold to Burnley but not good enough to play for us !!!

I thought we needed a forward. We’ve got four hours to save our season.

We need an old war horse who can give us a good 18 months up front a bit like Ron Futcher

I was eavesdropping around the club and just caught the last part of a conversation, regarding new ppl coming in. I think there is a Belgium coming in as I heard them say Van Driver. Didn’t catch the first name.

Oh I agree, but i think Liverpool are as much to blame, they must have a far superior medical team with all the latest scanning equipment etc. Yet he seems to have slipped under their radar too.

Or being a realist. We all thought it tho. No incoming players and we will loose on saturday.
But football is a funny thing and we may even win. 😉

Flitcroft telling radio stoke that we have enquired over 2-3 championship strikers but waiting for the clubs to bring in their own players before anything can happen
It reminds me of my father in the 1970’s when I enquired about getting a new car second hand car because the new registration plates were coming out. He’d say something very similar we never replaced the old car. The analogy is very similar regarding Flircrofts about footballers, because my father knew nothing about cars and we couldn’t afford one.

I believe the club have been disappointed with the quality of DJs in the UK and are busy scouting the Scandinavian, American and New Zealand markets for a possible replacement...
Rob, that all depends on the Colombians, Venezuelans or Danish getting a replacement for their old injured DJ.

Was waiting for someone to raise this , could at least mix it up and have a bit of everything. Puts me off going tbh and it isn’t really encouraging families.
play some vale songs/football songs. Something to maybe sing along to !
I park in Bradeley and you can hear it there, feel sorry for ppl living in the immediate vicinity of the ground and surprised no one has made a complaint.

If he did come back, he would know where the med staff hangout.
But wont be coming as he has experience and older than 21 so doesn't fit the Flickers recruitment guidelines.
I’m only thinking till the end of the season. We gave James Wilson two six month contracts, he’s injury prone. Admittedly Wilson is a very good player when fit but what Gibbo lacks in skill for me he makes up with enthusiasm.

I’d definitely bring him back, providing he is match fit.

Ronan Curtis who left Portsmouth after having a bad injury signed for a League Two team last week(cant remember who),he scored a few for Portsmouth and scored on his debut on saturday having not played this season..... a gamble maybe we could of taken
Wers, at least it’s an old injury, unlike ourselves who have the expertise of signing players that are injured, we seem to have cornered that part of the market. I don’t suppose it easy to do, what we do, otherwise they’d all be signing injured players.

I see Pompey have signed Callum Lang from Wigan, undisclosed fee on a 2.5 year contract.

I wud defo have Gibbo back at the Vale 👍
Nippy I agree. Yes he gets injured but his contribution on its own would be better than Clark and Jones combined.

Just a fact I learnt recently lots of you may know. A certain Mr Harry Kane when he was a youngster, went on loan to Leyton Orient. He now sponsors their shirt and is in his third season

Warren, I see it as the worst addiction as your body can only take a limited amount of alcohol or drugs.

i really rate whitfield. I mentioned i'd like see us go in for him again last season but got laughed at. Having another good season at Barrow & he would fit in nicely in one of our 10s roles
Vtid, I thought his attitude had changed for the worse in his second spell
