Carol runs a much larger and very successful business built from scratch. She has, because of her support for the football club, made an investment which is always going to be the antithesis of profit making. But I'm 100% confident she can run the club well in future and is doing now. She faces immediate challenges because an appointment that could have worked out isn't doing so. I think action will come before the end of the month.

Warren, end of the month.!! That’s too many points to potentially lose. Everyone wants us to succeed, I’m satisfied with a comfortable mid table position. Performances that have you talking for positive reasons after a Vale game, whether it’s win, lose or draw.

  2. Can we or should we recall Tommy McDermott.? Went on loan to Rochdale, didn’t get a game now on loan at Curzon Ashton and has played one game. He’s only been there since the beginning of November and they’re about 7th in the league, but if he’s not playing he’s not developing. Should we also look at trying to place him with a L2 or National League team.?

The cycle begins again with them. They’ll appoint someone who looks half decent on paper (Eustace probably), maybe have a decent run at the start having them planning the open top bus and then revert to type and sack them in a years time.

GLP, all these managers can’t be bad, perhaps the owners should take a look at their recruitment of players and themselves. I read he said that they were at the start of a new transformation, some more donkey twaddle put into managers heads at St George's or by the LMA, when things aren’t going well. As one of my Lardy mates has said to me we have no bragging rights and have similar problems of our own. I know we collected three points yesterday, but I can’t argue with the comment.

I can more concisely summarise my concern with this:

Flitcroft bemoans the fact that Bolton can spend £300k on Dion Charles, but doesn't see the issue with trying to replicate Bolton's style of play, or see why this style of play isn't working.

Flitcroft looking for an excuse to defend his own incompetency and lack of ability. I’d imagine we’ve spent more in wages, for the DoF

Who in their right mind would take Loft on loan. Wouldn’t have him in a local pub team.

A very good question, I don’t have the answer, I’m just trying to find a solution to our problems on the pitch and off the pitch financially. Some of the non league clubs, seem to pay very good wages. The fact is we cannot continue with the current situation.

  6. I think that if there’s no improvement with either Ouch or Loft both should be sent out on loan with a view to just recovering as much of their salaries as possible and a new forward to come in. They sound like they should be on TV, in a cop drama, called ‘The Defectives’

If we can't score with football - our passing approach play - we're not going to score reverting to hoofball / Popeball again? Also, how did we amass the 19 points so quickly playing the "tippy tapping crap" game we did...but stopped getting points as the injuries mounted?

Why can’t we have tactics where we incorporate both styles of play as and when it’s required. Especially if the opposition can’t deal with a particular style of play. As Shankly stated ‘ the ball moves faster than man’. However we manage to not take advantage of this by holding the ball up and allowing the opposition to re group. I just wish AC would wake up and smell the coffee for his own sake. I and many others thought we’d measure his ability as a manager at Christmas, but we probably already know the answer now.

World is completely different now. A manager doesn’t have time to do everything these days. I listened to a  Dave Bassett a few weeks back, he said it’s impossible to be a manager these days without having DOF support. If you look at clubs across the EFL they are all slowly but surely moving in the same direction.

As I understand Flitcroft turned down the managers job. That for me is enough and should not have been employed at PVFC, ever.

These American owners buy these lower league clubs wanting to get them to the premier league but then sack good managers and bring in 'Big Names' they then proceed to not make it to the premier league and then complain about it

They did it with Rowett and Zola. BCFC were in the play offs when this happened and just avoided relegation. Even more ridiculous is the report that be paying Rooney treble what they were paying the successful Eustace. I hope they get relegated and we play them next season. Rowett then rocked up at the Lardies, it could be a case of history repeating itself. Eustace to Stoke.?

  10. Birmingham have sacked Eustace, they’re sixth in the league. Not known if it’s because he was linked with the Glasgow Rangers vacancy or new American owners want to bring in their own manager. Rooney has left DC United.

I used to get my club news by random chats to people in the Railway Paddock toilets and the queue if I mistimed my visit at half time.
Also like the rumours on here and Facebook.
I'll not be subscribing to anything that is connected to the Sentinel though. That is no disrespect to the journalist.

Perhaps that’s the real reason the RP toilets are closed.
